Caring for your mat

Looking after your mat is as easy as it gets, the beauty of natural fibres is that they were designed to be self-sufficient in the elements so they can be self-sufficient at home too

The wool comes from the hills of the Hurunui District

After use, the mats are best hung out in the sunshine or fresh air to air out

Wool is a naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial fibre so the nasties are getting pushed to the surface, and with a good airing they are as good as gold

If you get any marks on your mat they can be spot-washed with warm water and a natural soap

Shedding will occur in the initial uses, the excess wool can be plucked off without causing any damage to your mat
